Zara Home Unveiled a Pablo Picasso-Inspired Homeware Collection
A Picasso artwork typically costs millions of dollars, but that doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to own one. In fact, thanks to Zara Home, you can have such a piece of art for as low as $14.90.
Last month at the Musée Picasso Paris, art historian Maya Ruiz-Picasso launched an exhibit about her relationship with her famous father, and the works and poems he had dedicated to her. With a focus on the Picasso family life, the exhibit has inspired Zara Home’s latest collection, which features linens, tableware, bottles, pillows, and even a tote bag.
“Hidden in the Cannes hills, Picasso spent many happy, playful summers at the villa La Californie, surrounded by his children, two darling dogs and Esmeralda, a mischievous goat,” the company wrote, talking about the artist’s years living in the south of France.
The items in the collection include Picasso’s iconic cubist and surrealist styles, with colorful shapes and patterns, as well as portraits, adorning various fabrics and earthenware. In addition, there are prints of the phrase “Il neige au Soleil,” which is part of a poem he had written for Maya.
Another thing to love about the collection is the coastal charm it brings to a home. With pops of color against neutrals, and splashes of lines and polka dots, the items feel as though you’re chilling on a beach chair enjoying views of the French Riviera.
Prices start at $14.90 for the tableware, and up to $159 for the tablecloth and blanket each. You can shop Zara Home’s Picasso collection here.
