In the digital era, even with Pinterest and what have you, there’s still something so comforting about having images and ideas that you love on actual pieces of paper. Maybe this is why more and more people are creating inspiration boards — delightful little assemblages of art and ideas and whatever catches your eye. Here are ten of our favorites. Go ahead, grab some pushpins and dig in.

Above: The randomness and wild texture of OSB can be a turnoff for some, but I think that in this modern/industrial space it’s just the right choice for a backdrop to inspirations of all kinds. Photo from Laure Joliet.

I love how neatly these inpirations from irideen are arranged, and I also love the individual pieces. Who wouldn’t want to work while looking at lovely drawings of birds all day?

An inspiration wall on a black background is unexpected, and so is one in the dining room. I like the liveliness and energy it adds. Spotted on Babble.

I like how a frame adds a little extra something to an inspiration board, like this one spotted on The Willows.

This inspiration board from Decor8 is (comparatively) restrained, and I love the burlap background.

If you’re concerned about running out of space, why not cover a whole wall in cork? From Coco Lapine.
