Wong says she’s tested at least seven different sets of linen bedding from different brands, and this is, by far, the most luxurious set she’s ever slept on. “The fabric feels nice and substantial, but it’s still lightweight and breathable so I never get hot overnight. While linen is never going to look pristine like cotton percale or sateen, the thickness of Coyuchi’s sheets prevents them from getting super wrinkly — meanwhile, my other linen sheets look like crumpled parchment paper! Another stalwart of the luxury bedding industry, Sferra started in 1891 and continues to be a top source for incredible linens. The Grande Hotel collection is the least expensive, though cost is relative here. You’d have to shop the bedding à la carte as there are no sets are available. Frette is pretty much the first name to come to mind when you think luxury bedding. That could be because they have over 150 years of experience in the bedding industry, and are known for being a favorite of luxury hotels. The least expensive sheet set is the Classic, a crisp cotton percale set with a simple border that’s also available at Bloomingdale’s.

Based in Dallas and founded in 1973, Peacock Alley is steeped in quality and heritage.
