1-800-Flowers Just Launched Faux Plants For the Less Proficient Plant Parents Among Us
A leafy fiddle leaf fig can be the perfect houseplant that brings life into an otherwise dull space. But as Instagram-friendly as it’ll look, you’ll slowly realize that it takes a lot of commitment to maintain its health, and perhaps the idea of it was better than the reality. Luckily, 1-800-Flowers.com just launched a new faux section filled with favorite houseplants, so you can have your dream plant—minus the responsibility and guilt.
1-800-Flowers.com just announced the addition of faux options to its plant shop, which was already stocked with over 150 types of plants. Displayed in either a rattan basket or ceramic planter, there are four artificial houseplants that have been introduced into the family: faux monstera tree, faux fiddle leaf tree, faux palm tree, and faux green trailing variegated plant.
Faux Monstera Tree
The monstera tree stands 47 inches tall, mimicking the real-life size of one of these beauties. It’s potted in a rattan basket and has artificial soil to complete the look. The fiddle leaf fig tree and palm tree all stand at the same height and are potted the same, with these instructions applying to all three: “Your tree will arrive with slightly compressed stems so each stem should be shaped to a natural position. There is no common rule to shaping your plant—it’s how you like it best.”

Faux Green Trailing Variegated Plant
The green trailing plant is the only artificial houseplant option that isn’t a tree, measuring in at 10 inches high. It comes in a white ceramic planter with a wooden stand. While it’s different than the others, the care instructions of shaping the plant still apply.
