Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: Me, my husband Brian, and our pup Andrew call this tiny, woodsy studio home. After living in a huge apartment complex for a year prior, we were ready to not be surrounded by a ton of people and cars; so when a listing for this cute studio popped up on Zillow we toured it and signed a lease a few days later.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Colorful, practical, organized, happy.

What is your favorite room and why? I would have to say the detached studio on our back porch. The outdoor space and that studio are what originally won us over on the studio. We love the idea of integrated living and being able to walk out into the porch or garden area and still feel like it flows with the rest of our space. Thankfully the weather here is super mild so we can have our doors open most of the time! I am an artist, so I use the studio as a painting space. It feels like such a gift!

If you could magically change something about your home, what would it be? Hmm… Maybe higher ceilings? I would say to make it larger, but I really am starting to fully embrace living simply and minimally. Less space = less junk.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The last thing I found was our vintage Turkish rug in our living room. It was insanely cheap on Craigslist and I love it so much!

Any advice for creating a home you love? If you live in a small space, only intake items that you love AND that serve some sort of function!
