When it comes to making more money, we tend to focus on working hard, landing that new job or getting that promotion—often overlooking how powerful our thoughts are at manifesting our reality. When you change your relationship with money, you might find that you’re able to hang on to more of it. Here, I’m sharing four of my favorite money habits that will help keep you in an abundant state of mind.

Be Grateful When You Receive Money

Anytime money flows into your life, feel gratitude for it. Whether it’s a paycheck, a gift from a loved one, or a penny you find walking down the street, no amount is too small. Infusing your finances with gratitude is one way to attract more.

Treat Your Money With Respect

Money is an important part of our lives. It allows us to pay the bills and put food on the table—and crumpling up dollar bills and having loose change swimming at the bottom of our purse is a sign of disrespect. Treat your money with the care and respect it deserves by keeping your wallet nice and tidy. This little ritual may seem silly, but it really makes you appreciate the money you do have.

Feel Gratitude When You Pay for Things

Feeling bad when you pay for something only emphasizes the feeling of lack. You’re subconsciously telling the universe you don’t have enough. Replacing those negative thoughts with gratitude will instantly make you feel really good about paying for something and in turn help attract more.

Spread the Wealth

It’s impossible to attract more money into your life when you’re stuck in a scarcity mentality. Although it might seem counter intuitive, the easiest and fastest way to bust through that is to give something away. It doesn’t have to be something big at all. Simply treating a friend to a cup of coffee or giving a small donation to a charity you love will immediately shift your energy around money and make you feel like you have more than enough.
