When it comes to storage space, is there ever really such a thing as having too much? We think not, which is why we’re firm believers in maximizing small spaces like mudrooms to ensure they’re fully functional—and aesthetically pleasing, too! Below are a few of our favorite mudrooms which are totally stylish and storage-friendly.

An Organized Oasis

In addition to offering plenty of storage for coats and accessories, this mudroom, designed by Abby of Just A Girl and Her Blog, also includes an amazing organization station as shown above. It’s the perfect place to store invitations, flyers, and hang a calendar to stay on top of everything going on in the weeks and months ahead. Plus, you can always post cute reminders and notes for your family!

Get Hooked

Take a cue from Milena Disario of Casa Disario and line your space with hooks. This will ensure that no one can get away with forgetting to hang up their coat when setting foot inside. We also love the gorgeous wood walls and tiled floor, which add tons of character to the small area. Additionally, placing baskets low to the ground allows little ones to grab their own gear before heading out the door.

Keep it Cozy

Can you believe that Erica Van Slyke of Designing Vibes styled this cute mudroom with boho accents for under $200? There’s still plenty of room for storage, thanks to the built-in cubbies, hooks, and overhead shelf. As a bonus, the warm colors make the space look cheerful and full of life.

Go Vertical

Val of Lovely Lucky Life took advantage of vertical space by adding tons of shelving up high (even if they aren’t full at the moment, we’re sure they will be one day!). Cute wicker baskets are a fun alternative to more traditional storage contraptions and stand out in the space.

Bring Out the Color

Monica Mangin of East Coast Creative designed this vibrant mudroom to be equal parts fun and functional. Tall cubbies provide plenty of room to stash items—keep those unsightly items behind the cabinet doors—and we love the idea of using hooks to hang small toys, too.

Keep It Sleek

Not a big fan of keeping all of your items out on display? Kelly Rinzema of The Lily Pad Cottage opted for a simple color scheme and kept the overall look modern and chic by opting for cabinets with doors that close and conceal everything inside.
