Sarah Ashley Schiear is the founder of Salt House Market, a curated e-commerce site for kitchen and home goods. Sarah began her career as a chef and caterer for high-end dinner parties after appearing on ABC’s The Taste. She founded Salt House with a goal of creating a modern brand to revolutionize the way we think about homemaking. She’s lived in Brooklyn for three years (and NYC four years). Today, she shares some of her favorite (and yummiest!) spots in Williamsburg.

I always start my day with a cup of coffee at home. I love waking up early and enjoying these quiet moments before a busy day.

This is Lucent Yoga, which is actually in Greenpoint but very close to me since I live in North Williamsburg. You absolutely must take Lauren’s class if you visit. The studio is cozy and pristine, and has all the good vibes.

On a nice day, I like to stop by Frankel’s for bagels and take them to the park. Frankel’s is a new Jewish deli also in Greenpoint. Get the pastrami salmon with dill & cucumber!

Stopping at Bedford Cheese Shop to pick up some goodies for a photo shoot later. This is my go-to spot for cheese, fresh bread, and extras like local jams and candy.

Lunchtime meeting go-to: Reynard at the Wythe Hotel. The Wythe Hotel in general is a must-visit. The design is perfect and the rooftop bar has the best views of NYC. Reynard is the restaurant downstairs, where they change the menu daily. Everything is always spot-on. Easily my favorite restaurant in NYC!

After a few hours spent working on our new site, it’s time for another coffee break! This time at Blue Bottle, a neighborhood favorite. Their New Orleans-style iced coffee is always my move in the summer.

Shooting some of the goods from Bedford Cheese Shop for our website and social media. I love this matte black wooden cutting board for serving cheese. The cheese shown here is Australian feta, and it’s to-die-for. I served it with cherry-balsamic jam from Anarchy in a Jar. Plus, our favorite wine glasses from the site!

After a long day, an aperol spritz is a must. This is my one of my favorite new neighborhood spots, Lilia. If you go, you must get the Grilled Clams and Sheeps Milk Cheese Filled Agnolotti.

Our “well-designed day” neighborhood guides are a visual tour of what a great day looks like from the perspective of a local.

You’ve loved the peeks inside gorgeous homes from around the world, so we thought we’d ask house tour stars to share their other homes—the neighborhoods and cities they live in. These are the stylish, colorful, bold and fun spaces that these locals would visit if they were designing a great day of stopping at favorite spots (or lounging around at home!). You can follow on our Instagram as we post images from their well-designed day and read more about this series.

Thanks, Sarah!
