Name: Matt & Amanda
Location: Pasadena, California

We just finished a bunch of work on our home. I did most of the work myself, including the all of the wood wainscoting, molding and arches. I didn’t do the cat though, that was just right place, right time.

A little about us and our house. It’s a 1947 bungalow in west Pasadena – so far west, it’s practically Eagle Rock. We bought it in 2016 and I’ve spent the year fixing it up. We’re both actors and writers and second generation Southern Californians. I grew up in Whittier and Amanda grew up in Long Beach.

I absolutely love home improvement and figuring things out myself. For instance, the wooded ceiling medallion on the dining room ceiling light is just a Crate and Barrel serving plate – the ceiling was messed up and I couldn’t find a ceiling medallion that wasn’t all fancy and mansion-y so I went with a different fix.

Thanks, Matt!
