Living in a 300 square foot studio apartment might seem like a bit of a challenge. But when it’s an apartment as beautiful as this one, and that apartment is in Paris — then 300 square feet seems less like a challenge and more like a dream come true.

The apartment’s detailing helps to give it an open, airy feel — but it’s also deceptively simple. Shelves lining one wall are a great spot for accessories and art, and to the left of the kitchen, a wall of built-in cabinets provides plenty of storage space.

The wall of cabinets also eliminates the need for any storage furniture, so the furnishings that the apartment does have can be kept light and minimal, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. The tiny entryway (to the right of the kitchen in the photo above) is painted a dark grey, which provides a nice contrast, and the bed is tucked into a cozy corner of the plan, right underneath a window to take advantage of the morning light.
