The Newest Airstream Is Meant for WFH on the Road
Traveling the country in an RV, to many, is the ultimate wanderlust dream. And since more people are working remotely due to the pandemic, there’s one fewer reason to stay put. Airstream has long been many travelers’ home away from home, and now the company is adding a much-requested feature: the trailers are now the office away from the office.
Today, Airstream announced the launch of the Flying Cloud 30FB Office Travel Trailer. As the name says, the RV features a dedicated office space plus more connectivity and power options to serve WFH requirements. It includes an office chair, several USB ports and power outlets, sliding drawers and storage cubbies for organization, and a privacy divider and black-out curtains for doing video calls.
If you’ve always wanted a corner office, the trailer’s office booth is literally located in one corner of the Airstream. And as a bonus, its three windows have constantly-changing views, depending on the places you’ll visit.
The new model isn’t just for work. There’s a queen bed, plus a dinette, a bench, and an office couch, all three of which can be converted into beds, allowing a family of six to sleep comfortably. There’s also a kitchenette, toilet, and minimalist interiors so that it’s ready to hit the road.
According to Airstream, they came up with the thoughtful design in response to customer requests for an RV that’s adapted to the new normal.
“The pandemic has permanently changed the traditional work landscape and we’re thrilled to offer a travel trailer that meets the needs of our times without compromise,” said Bob Wheeler, Airstream President and CEO. “Airstream has always provided the freedom of a mobile living, playing, and working space, but the Flying Cloud 30FB Office takes that promise to the next level with flexibility and comfort in a design inspired by real-world experience.”
The Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Office is priced at $107,500, and is now available in Airstream dealers around the country.
