Aldi’s New $4 Dinner Staple Has Shoppers Buying 3 Packages at a Time
If you live near an Aldi, consider yourself lucky. Not only does this discount grocery store have a great selection of food, but the quality of the food sold on shelves is really unmatched for how cheap they are. We’re big believers of making weeknight dinners easier with jarred pasta sauce, and customers are always raving about the Priano sauce sold at Aldi, with flavors like Rosso Pesto, Roasted Garlic Alfredo, and Tomato Basil. But if you really want to take your dinner up a notch, then you should skip the box of pasta and instead, grab a container of Priano’s Beef Bolognese Ravioli in Aldi’s refrigerator section.
For just $3.69 a package, this Aldi dinner find is a steal when you think about how high-quality it really is. The ravioli is stuffed with a bolognese mix of ground beef braised in mirepoix and red wine with tomatoes, Parmesan, and creamy ricotta cheese. The package says this bolognese tastes best with an herb butter sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top. But if you’re more of a red sauce person, then you already know those Priano jars are where it’s at.
Not a meat eater? Don’t worry, Aldi still has an option if you’re looking for a similar dinner that is vegetarian friendly. Skip the Beef Bolognese Ravioli and instead, grab their Fontina & Truffle Ravioli made with a blend of fontina, parmesan, ricotta, and truffle oil. That’s right — truffle oil. A cheesy truffle ravioli that cooks in just under 5 minutes for less than $4. As Hilary Duff famously once said, “this is what dreams are made of.”
This particular ravioli is packaged fresh, but if you prefer buying frozen ravioli, don’t sweat it; Aldi has that, too! You can still buy bags of frozen cheese ravioli from the Priano brand at your local Aldi.
