When you think about it, the holiday season is essentially about balancing the stress of preparing for celebrations and time off and the enjoyment of actually experiencing those things — all while going through your regular routine of working, making meals, and doing chores. One nice, practical way to add some cheer to your daily life (especially since the sun sets so early now) is by getting yourself an advent calendar. And right now, Aldi is offering 24 different options, from puzzles and toys to candles and snacks.

What Advent Calendars Are Offered at Aldi?

The German discount supermarket is selling 24 advent calendars, ranging in price from $6.99 to $69.99.

Toys and Plushies

For you or people on your shopping list with kids (or are just kids at heart), you’ll be glad to know that there’s a Barbie calendar ($24.99) with pink outfits and accessories, one filled with figurines from Disney’s Frozen ($24.99), and some LEGO calendar options that cost $29.99 a piece. There are also two different Squishmallow advent calendars ($29.99) featuring 12 “iconic holiday Micromallows” each.

Decor and DIY

For those looking to spice up their home, there’s an Aldi advent with 25 mini scented candles for $39.99, which could also make nice little stocking stuffers. For those looking for something fun to do at home when you finally have a spare moment, you may enjoy advent calendars with materials to craft your own ornaments or complete an 80-piece puzzle a day ($7.99 each).

Snacks and Beverages

Sometimes you just want a classic chocolate advent calendar. Aldi’s got you covered there as well — choose from a Kinder Countdown Calendar ($6.99) featuring 24 days of four different sweet treats or go with a “winter wonderland luxury” chocolate advent ($17.99), which has the kind of options you’d expect to see in an assorted box of chocolates. For a savory snack, there’s a cheese advent calendar ($16.99) or a spicy hot sauce one ($14.99).

Some people say it wouldn’t be the holidays without a festive beverage. For those who do partake in alcohol, go classy with 24 mini bottles of wine for $64.99 (they’re designed to pair with the chocolate and cheese calendars!) or decadent with 12 different types of Irish cream for $42.99. For those looking for a more sober (but still seasonal) sip, choose from a tea-themed calendar ($7.99, which includes two tea bags per day) or 24 single-serve coffee pods ($16.99).

That’s probably enough advent calendar options to make your head spin, but remember, this is just what’s available at one store. Elsewhere, you can find more mini candles, little jars of Bonne Maman jam or chili crisp, cat treats, and shower steamers, just to name a few. Or instead of buying one, you can make your own advent calendar.
