I’ll Never Put My Paper Towel Holder on the Counter Again After Seeing This Hack
I use paper towels every day. They come in handy so often, I try to keep a roll practically in every room. However, I don’t always have a good place to keep them, which means paper towels tend to occupy more counter space in my house than they should.
It doesn’t have to be this way. It turns out that I just need the power of vertical storage and $9 to keep my paper towels off the counters and free up the space for good.
A Clever Alternative to Countertop Paper Towel Holders
“This is your sign to get the paper towels off the counter,” home decor content creator Teresa McGarr (@ahomebodyjournal) declares in an Instagram Reel. Her solution? A wall-mounted paper towel holder on the side of her kitchen cabinet, conveniently located within arm’s reach of the sink. It’s the Bollove brand Paper Towel Holder, and it’s available on Amazon for just $8.99.
Made of durable stainless steel with a simple L-shaped design, this holder easily attaches to walls, cabinets, and shelves using either adhesive strips or drilled wall mounts. It’s relatively slender and unobtrusive; the metal rod you place the paper towel roll on measures 13.19 inches across, and the metal panel you attach to your cabinet measures 5.7 inches by 1.77 inches. Altogether, it’s about 3.5 inches deep when adding the middle rod and the paper towel rod together. While it’s designed to be attached, well, underneath a kitchen cabinet, McGarr attaches it vertically to the side of her cabinet, keeping that valuable real estate between cabinet and countertop completely clutter-free.
Why This Space-Saving Paper Towel Holder Is So Great
While you can obviously use this to more conveniently store paper towels by taking advantage of spare cabinet space, that’s far from the only way this paper towel holder can be useful in your kitchen. If you place hooks on it, it becomes an easy place to hang measuring spoons and utensils. The Amazon product page also suggests using it for rolls of plastic wrap, which I never considered before but now definitely want to try.
Outside of the kitchen, use it for holding hand towels in the bathroom, reusable bags in your entryway, and even bracelets, necklaces, and silk scarves near your vanity.
