If you’re a person who takes pride in their bookshelves, then you know how important styling is. Striking a balance among books and decorative items is a recipe for success, but your setup might be missing something that could make your shelves — and therefore, your entire living room or bedroom — that much cozier.

It’s a book-themed lamp that tucks into your existing collection, bringing a much-needed spotlight to your decor while creating a warm and nostalgic vibe in any space.

This Gadget Creates an Instant Vintage Aesthetic

“This is what every bookshelf is missing,” Allie from @thenottinghome wrote over a recent Instagram video, in which she shares the adorable bookshelf lamp she sourced from Amazon.

The lamp features a classic shade nestled atop a gooseneck design in brass, and the wooden base is shaped like a hardcover book, so you can wedge the lamp between your tomes and shed some light on the situation.

From the brand AELS, this lamp comes in both a wireless rechargeable version as well as a standard corded model — and can be purchased in four different wood stain finishes.

It features an easy-touch power button on the front of the base, and you can adjust the warmth of the light emitting from the lamp using the same touch button. The base is just under 10 inches deep, so it should fit most bookshelves. Reviewers say it’s a “great little lamp” that adds so much character to their shelves.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this lamp turned out to be a great find,” one person wrote in their Amazon review. “It looks great on my bookshelf and actually holds a few books in place. The touch dimming feature is a nice touch, and I love that it’s cordless — makes it easy to move around … Definitely a nice mix of style and function.”

Joanna Gaines has also introduced a bookshelf lamp to her Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection. This version is a bit lower profile than the Amazon version, and the base is smaller, making it a good fit for smaller shelves in tighter spaces. It comes with a 5-foot cord and has a knob rotary switch for easy on and off.

Warm up your space with a cozy bookshelf lamp and turn your living room into the vintage library of your dreams.
