I am an Interior Designer and would like to share how I styled my small, sweet apartment. Our apartment is located East Bay, California and is 1250 square feet. The first time I walked through this apartment, I truly felt at peace and believed that we could do something special here.

Our style is eclectic, airy and chic. My husband, who is from Africa, wanted to keep a breeze of Africa as well. I worked to create a space that feels like home to us.

I started the living room with a focal point of a beautiful painting that we bought in Africa during our trip in 2011, and I work around it to create this warm and airy feel to the room. We mixed and played with wood, marble and metal to give more character to the apartment. Each room is unique and reflects who we really are.

I am most proud when my husband comes back home after a long day of work and says to me that there is no place like home!
