I Stopped Keeping Plastic Deli Containers — This Nontoxic Food Storage Set Is So Much Better

Over the last few years, I’ve set out to replace all of the old plastic containers in my apartment. Aside from my concern about these containers shedding microplastics, I also just prefer the look of something a little more elevated in my kitchen cabinets. And until now, plastic deli containers from takeout orders have been one of the trickiest items to replace, thanks to their distinct shape, size, and utility.

So when Anyday came out with its new Anydeli line back in March 2026, the editor-favorite brand’s first-ever silicone food storage containers, I knew I had to get my hands on them as soon as I could. 

Available in four stylish colors — clear (mochi), purple (ube), blue (ice), and green (basil) — Anyday’s Anydeli food storage containers are made of a durable, flexible, platinum-cured silicone with stainless steel reinforced rims. Each lid has a built-in vent feature with a large hole and a smaller hole for an airtight seal, or for letting out steam when reheating. Sets come in three-packs, six-packs, or mixed multi-packs of the three sizes: 1-cup, 2-cup, and 4-cup. 

Both pieces are safe to use in the microwave, dishwasher, freezer, and oven (up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit), and the lid is universal, so it can be used on any size base. Each container has clear windows on the sides with measurement marking for cups on one, and milliliters on the other.

The nontoxic deli containers are of course super-versatile, but they also look great in my fridge or pantry. They nest when not in use and stack easily, which saves so much space in my tiny kitchen (where every inch counts).

I have the mixed three-pack set in basil, and I use them every day to store everything from soups to lunches to frozen foods. The containers are easy to clean and spill-proof, so I’m never worried about anything toppling over in my fridge, or making a mess in my work bag.

The vented lid is easily the smartest feature of the Anydeli containers. Pop one or both sides of the detachable silicone flap to let steam out of the container while it reheats to avoid any microwave splatters or warping, which can often happen with standard flimsy deli containers.

The only downside? Many of the colors sold out after the launch, but they’re all back in-stock for now! Finally, reusable storage containers that are way lighter than glass, won’t break or warp, and won’t leach microplastics into your food — and they actually look good, to boot.
