Spend your Saturday afternoons taking art classes with the pros. Art.com, an online art and decor shop, is now offering free classes through the new Art.com Studio.

A new class airs each Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on Instagram Live @artdotcom. If you miss it, you can watch all previous classes on YouTube. Find all the offerings on the Art.com Studio home page, where you can also sign up to be notified as soon as each new class is announced.

So far, classes cover photography, watercolor, mixed-media, and more.

Art photographer Ursula Abresch teaches the first class in the series, “Capturing Still Life: Tips on Close-Up Photography.” Painter Kristy Rice teaches “Wonder of Watercolor,” in which she leads you through painting floral designs. Finally, Kellie Day so far has two classes in the studio, one called “Mixed-Media Songbirds” and the other called “Mixed-Media Expressions.”

This Saturday, May 9, Kristy Rice will return for “The Joy of Watercolors.”

The classes run from 30 minutes to an hour and are taught in the artists’ studios, so you can watch them work and learn how to bring their techniques to your art practice.

If you’re looking for other art classes to take from home, the Museum of Modern Art also offers a mix of studio and lecture classes through Corsera. You can also find a range of art and craft classes on Creative Bug, Bluprint, and Brit+Co, to name just a few options.
