Ashley Tisdale Went Shopping for the Biggest Terracotta Planters
Terracotta pots will never go out of style and fit seamlessly in nearly every aesthetic. And according to Ashley Tisdale, the brains behind the interior design company Frenshe, the bigger the terracotta pot, the better.
“Get in loser, we’re going plant shopping,” Tisdale captioned a recent Instagram post of her admiring some massive aloe plants in pots that are just as massive.
Tisdale paid a visit to Rolling Greens in Southern Los Angeles to check out what’s in season. As of early January, these exact aloe plants were in full bloom. The Rolling Greens Instagram showed off the cone-shaped flowers earlier this year (pots included).
Terracotta is the ideal planter material — especially for succulents — because it’s extremely porous and wicks away excess water, which keeps the roots of your potted plants safe from root rot.
Stopping by your own local garden store is the best way to begin the hunt for your own gigantic terracotta planter. These things are heavy, so arrange for delivery or hire your friend with a truck.
There are a handful of online options to check out, too. The most promising is the Pennington terracotta pot from Home Depot that stands at 22-inches high and only costs $80.
