Boarding pass? Check. Face mask? Check. New Away luggage? Yes. With (safe) summer travels recently taking off again, the cult-favorite brand just unveiled their latest (and potentially greatest) additions — expandable hard-sided luggage.
That’s right: As part of the new Flex line, you can now shop Away’s beloved polycarbonate pieces with even more packing room to spare. Available in four sizes — The Carry-On Flex, The Bigger Carry-On Flex, The Medium Flex, and The Large Flex — each features the same sleek exterior style you know and love, but with an all-around adjustable zipper. This adds an extra 2.25 inches to the two carry-on pieces, and 1.75 inches to the two larger bags.
An extension of Away’s softside expandable series, this marks their first-ever hard-shell iteration. And, naturally, it wouldn’t be an Away bag without the amazing add-ons: the Flex collection also boasts a TSA-approved lock, 360 degree wheels, and an interior laundry bag and compression system.
The only downside? Depending on the airline, you’ll likely have to check these bags, even the carry-ons, once expanded. But, just think about all the extra space you’ll have for any potential trip treats (three words: vacation shopping spree).
