Jennifer and John loved their new home’s open floor plan, but they didn’t love the lack of a defined dining area. So they set out to create a dining space with personality and punch.

For the walls, they chose a muted yellow (Dried Plantain by Behr) which, Jennifer says, “makes us happy and hungry!”

A Crate & Barrel table (which they picked up on the cheap at their local store’s warehouse sale) and new lighting, smartly hung on a track so it can be adjusted, made the space into the perfect, personalized nook.

From Jennifer:

“The most unexpected part of this whole process was after we installed the lights, it casts a beautiful pattern on the walls. The whole project turned out fantastic and we are so happy with it.”
