In order to chase dreams and golf balls, photographer/business coach Brittany and her husband, Jordan, an aspiring golf pro, mobilized their lives to go on tour for half a year. Months of searching for a camper with enough space and height (Jordan is 6’5″) for themselves and their pets led to this beauty of a camper. Though built in 2007, the house on wheels didn’t exactly scream “this century.”

As a full-time photographer, Brittany needed a lot of light to be able to do her editing on the road. In place of the outdated recliner, they installed a desk space for her in the brightest part of the camper. Pretty much every other inch of the camper got an update, too.

Brittany’s advice for renovating a camper:

If you are thinking about renovating a camper, make sure you either have a ton of extra time or a lot of people willing to help you. It took way more time than I thought it would to get it ready. One of the biggest pains was painting. You wouldn’t thinking painting such a small space would be so time consuming but there are so many cabinets and nooks a crannies. If we went back and did it again, I would have hired someone to paint. It would have made the rest of the process much more fun.

According to Brittany, “Factory camper mattresses aren’t super comfortable or long enough for Jordan who is 6’5”, so we invested in a memory foam normal queen mattress. We have to sleep well on the road.” (Image credit: Hayley Lawrence)
