Brooke, from the home décor blog Inside-Out Design, started with this run-of-the-mill old coffee table, and with some ingenuity and a lot of handiwork, she and her husband transformed it into a one-of-a-kind hand-tufted ottoman.

Brooke used West Elm’s Ikat Print by the Yard fabric as inspiration for completely transforming the coffee table. The coffee table legs were cut down, stained and stressed; 2x4s were added to the sides to give it more an ‘ottoman’ shape; stuffing was added; fabric was wrapped; and buttons were sewn to made this amazing piece.
