It’s been raining buckets throughout much of the Midwest for the better part of the weekend and it seems as though my galoshes have never seen so much use! Although I’ve previously mentioned using a baking sheet as a quick boot tray, check out this DIY that all started as a scrap pile of used fence posts!

Alison over at How Does She busted out this fun tutorial for making your own boot drip dripper to let your soggy footwear take a break from the puddles and catch a breather for a minute.

Her photos beautifully illustrate just how easy this project is to accomplish with a few simple tools. I love the look and think this could be used alone, in combination with something to catch water or even brought indoors. Have a funky entryway in a rental apartment? Make one that’s extra large or long like a runner! There’s always salvage wood popping up on Craigslist and this is a great project to tackle as Spring approaches.
