From Karen:

We love challenges. So when my husband and I found this broken dresser on garbage day we were on a mission to bring it back to life. Inspired by a similar project I saw on Pinterest, we removed the old remaining wooden knobs, one drawer and the frames for each of the top three drawers. This created a large open space so we added one shelf to create a piece of furniture that functions more as a cabinet. We added striped fabric and silver mercury knobs to complement the high gloss black paint. This throw-away dresser is now a modern cabinet that’s great for storage AND display.
