This cramped and outdated kitchen almost prevented Christina from buying the house! But it was a charming 100-year-old Craftsman-style house that won her over, and she made the goal of brightening up the kitchen and maximizing space a priority!

From Christina:

When we toured this house, the kitchen was the reason why we almost didn’t buy the 100-year-old Craftsman-style house. It was so small, so brown, and so ugly!

Our goal was to open up the tiny space, brighten it up, and maximize every inch of the small amount of square footage. Oh yeah — and do as much as we could by ourselves. With a very small budget.

Six months later — it’s finished! We did everything ourselves (with no professional training) except for the flooring!

You can see a lot more photos and a full source list of this refreshing kitchen update on Christina’s blog (and be sure to click through her links at the bottom of her post to see the remodel progress). Those wondering where the fridge is now can find more info in this post.

Thank you Christina!
