Lana’s family needed a space to pull their stroller in, roll their bikes through, and let their umbrellas dry, and they didn’t want it to be fussy. They spent a weekend transforming this stodgy entry into a “fun spot to throw some shoes on.”

So fun! We love the punch of personality that pattern gives this little room. Great job.

From Lana:

With only a 1/2 gallon (for three coats, it had primer in it) of white paint and a sample size of the black to stencil, this project was not only quick, but cheap. The previous set up didn’t work for us, so we swapped out the bench we never sat on once, for some storage and a place for additional lighting. We’ve had this sidebar for over a decade, and it’s finally getting some use. The rest of the room is rugs and space – exactly what we need in a mudroom!
