Chrissy’s bathroom was standard, outdated builder grade blah. She transformed the space into something warm and welcoming without any major renovations.

From Chrissy: The bathroom before consisted of builder grade oak cabinets and a mirror with no frame. The cabinet over the toilet was bulky and made the bathroom feel smaller.

The “after” required a big makeover with getting rid of the mirror: adding hardware on the cabinets; floating shelves over the toilet; and installing sconce lighting instead of the typical vanity lights. I also added texture to the walls by adding shiplap around the room.

I wanted to keep the warm wood of the vanity, but add a layer of modern gray to it to match the driftwood shelves from Target. Oil-rubbed bronze knobs were added to the drawers to match the newly finished sconces. The tilt mirror follows the clean lines of the shiplap. An iron towel hanger feels farmhouse all the way!

The new bathroom is brighter and more welcoming. It makes a statement and adds personality to the home!
