Over the past year, I’ve put some underutilized spots to work in my home in an effort to create even more storage. For instance, I was overlooking the backs of my doors, which have always been in plain sight, but then I realized that over-the-door organizers can be incredible lifesavers. My linen closet and pantry have never been neater.

Sometimes I don’t love the hooks that you can see on the fronts of doors when you use these organizers, which is why I had a major “I can’t believe this exists” moment when I spotted this genius Amazon product on Instagram. Jodie Kammerer of @jodi.thedesigntwins recently posted this reel that turned my head. She opens the door, and all of a sudden in a flash, she’s opening a supersecret hidden cabinet!

The ultra-slim cabinet is used to hold so many beauty essentials — five times the amount of a medicine cabinet, Kammerer shares in the video. And you can’t help but love the fact that it’s hinged, so it fits in seamlessly with the door, and a magnetic closure means the cabinet door won’t swing willy-nilly.

Instagram users chimed in with all kinds of opinions on the back-of-the-door cabinet, but many of them were positive. One user brought up how this find really helps you use this otherwise unused space. Others shared their concern over it being a frequently returned item, but users surmised that it’s due to the fact that these shoppers didn’t properly measure before purchasing — which is why you should absolutely measure before committing!

Right now, the exact product Kammerer used is sold out completely on Amazon and on the retailer’s site, but I found a similar find on Wayfair. This wall spice rack can be mounted behind a door, on a wall, or inside a cabinet and can be used for all sorts of storage beyond spices.

If your home is on the small side like mine but, you know, you have stuff, look no further than smart, sneaky ways to add more storage, like this brilliant cabinet.
