If there’s one color I’ve seen popping up over and over the past few months, it’s berry. This burgundy-leaning hue has been dominating all areas of home design, from furniture to decor to kitchenware. In fact, Etsy predicted berry as the official 2024 Color of the Year in its annual trend report — and it’s safe to say they were spot-on.

Berry clearly has staying power for 2025, too. The hue is a great option for anyone who might be slightly color shy because it’s not too bright or too dull, and it works all year round. It’s a more subtle middle ground between bright, fire engine reds or saturated purples. Plus, it pairs well with a wide variety of other shades and palettes, like navy, mustard, or neutrals

Beth Diana Smith, interior designer and HomeGoods featured finder, suggests incorporating berry through “plush throw pillows, decorative objects like ceramic vases, and large canvas art that can grab attention and easily be moved around.” If you want to be a bit daring, Smith also says to “opt for larger furniture items like velvet sofas, or small furniture items like colorful upholstered chairs and wooden hand-carved tables.”

Check out these seven berry decor and furniture finds to bring this versatile color into your own home — from shelving to plant accessories.
