This Is the Softest Reversible Throw Blanket I’ve Ever Owned, and It’s the Coziest Holiday Gift

Because I have lived in many chilly NYC apartments, I have owned nearly 10 throw blankets. They are an absolute necessity for me during the winter, otherwise I would be layering clothes on clothes like Chandler Bing in “Friends.” And, even when it’s not so cold, throw blankets enhance my evening unwinding time. There’s nothing better than lighting a candle, turning off the lights, curling up under a cozy throw, and disassociating in front of the latest hit show.

But my all-time favorite (and luxe) throw blanket is from Pottery Barn. This Faux Fur Ruched Throw is pricey, but it is absolutely worth it. This might sound a little creepy, but the faux fur does feel real, similar to my friend’s cat. As someone who misses having a furry friend around, combined with the slight weight this blanket has, it feels like there is a small animal keeping me warm on my couch. I have never been cozier in my life — and it doesn’t hurt that it looks great on my couch.

This blanket is also large enough (I have the 50″ x 60″ in Ivory) to share with my boyfriend, which is truly good news, otherwise we would fight over it. Honestly, he uses it more than I do. He runs cold and can be found underneath this blanket every evening. The only downside to this beautiful, reversible throw is that it might be too effective at relaxing the user; he falls asleep within an hour of being under it. He dozes off during every TV show we watch — “Rings of Power,” “White Lotus,” etc. It took us three different sittings to get through the Elvis movie, which is frustrating for me, but a great review of this blanket. He would fall asleep once in a while watching TV at night, but not so often and not during really harrowing finales (I’m still annoyed, obviously).

So, if you are on the hunt for a cozy gift, stop your search. It’s perfect for all ages, from teens to grandparents. The giftee will appreciate how luxurious this blanket feels. It could be a great upgrade for the person you know how is constantly under a throw blanket — it sure was for me.
