I Tested 7 Pottery Barn Swivel Chairs and This Is Hands Down the Best (It’s Such a Space Saver!)

If there’s an ultimate crowd-pleaser among Pottery Barn’s swivel chairs, it’s the Remmy model. We deemed it the “Best for Entertaining” after our visit because its chair-and-a-half silhouette invites you to kick back and unwind while catching up with loved ones. We also fell in love with its velvety green upholstery, which is fitting for every season.

Leather seating often has a relaxed silhouette, so if you prefer something structured we suggest taking a peek at the Jake swivel. It has a perfectly boxy silhouette, complete with tautly pulled leather upholstery that’s available in many colors depending on the size you choose. Plus, you can’t ignore that wood base, which makes this piece even more dynamic.

If you’re after something compact, look no further than the Gideon chair. It immediately drew our attention with its petite size and rounded back. It almost feels like it’s enveloping you as you recline, even though it’s on the firmer side. You’ll also appreciate the removable seat cushion, which makes the chair easy to vacuum.

In addition to regular swivel chairs, Pottery Barn also has some pretty stellar swivel recliners in stock. The PB Comfort is comfortable and chic, with wide square arms and prominent seams. The Balboa swivel chair comes in multiple sizes, but we were drawn to this petite silhouette in-store. Not only is it small space-friendly, but the compact size makes it practical for a wide range of purposes. You can use the Balboa as a desk chair, vanity chair, or even a dining chair! Bonus: In addition to swiveling, it also glides, thanks to hidden casters.

Those with a little extra square footage at their disposal would be smart to pick up the Carmel swivel chair, which offers more than enough space for sprawling out. Also of note is its clean-lined silhouette, which keeps the chair from looking too bulky. Oh, and did we mention the cushions are filled with a down blend for unrivaled softness?

Despite the Wells chair’s attention-grabbing design, you’ll be happy to learn that it’s small enough to fit into tight corners. As a result, we think it would look great in a home office or library.
