Before & After: A Boring Beige Bathroom Is Now a Glam Retreat Thanks to Stunning (Removable!) Wallpaper
Attorney and content creator Blake Gifford jokes on her website that her Chicago rental apartment’s bathroom must have been “the room they were renovating when they started to run out of money. Because the finishes—while nice—never seemed to match the rest of the apartment. Much of it just felt like an afterthought. A cheap mirror, minimal storage and bulky vanity,” she wrote in this bathroom makeover post.
Pattern plays a huge part in Blake’s bathroom makeover. Pattern in removal form, specifically the Leopard Removable Wallpaper from Milton & King. It’s proof you don’t have to own your home to add dramatic style to the space. And it’s a great DIY option, as it was for Blake.
As she wrote in her house tour: “I’ve wallpapered in almost every apartment I’ve had since college so I’m pretty skilled at the application process. But because I’d previously only done accent walls, I really underestimated the amount of work that goes into wallpapering an entire room—especially with such an intricate pattern. My entire body hurt for days afterwards, but the space brings such a smile to my face that every knot and bruise was totally worth it.”
