I moved into my first studio apartment about six months ago, but I’m still putting on the finishing touches (it never ends!). I’ve got the ambience down with my favorite candles, I’m cool as a cucumber in the summer thanks to this compact tower fan, and I’ve got the cozy factor covered thanks to my dreamy weighted pillow. Until recently, I was still on the hunt for a chic floor lamp that would illuminate my tiny space in style. I figured that, if my floor lamp was going to take up a good amount of room in my living area, it basically had to double as art. Unfortunately, I could only find lamps that were dirt cheap and I knew would fall apart immediately — or ones that cost upwards of $500 (or more) and weren’t in my budget. There was no happy medium. That is, until I discovered Brightech, which has been popping up on Instagram as of late. Luckily, the brand was kind enough to let me try out one of their designer-worthy (and affordable) lighting pieces. And now, I’m telling everyone about them.

It was hard to pick just one option, but since I had been eyeing an arched floor lamp for reading, I chose the sleek Olivia floor lamp. It’s adorned with a stunning marble base that not only keeps it grounded (a must with my two new kittens running around) but adds an elevated touch, too. I love that it’s adjustable, so you can move it around wherever you need some light. This beauty retails for only $175 at Brightech, but it’ll likely cost you at least $250 for a similar style elsewhere. During Brightech’s Black Friday sale, you can also score free shipping and 20 percent off sitewide with code BF2022.

While the Olivia floor lamp takes up some hefty real estate in my teeny living area, it somehow doesn’t feel overwhelming. The sleek gold color and luxe, curved design contrasted with the stunning base truly elevate my space’s style while serving a functional purpose. Double duty, for the win!

The lamp was a bit challenging to put together alone, mostly due to its cumbersome size, but I managed to do it solo. (If someone had offered to give me a hand, let’s just say I wouldn’t have said no.) To assemble it, I screwed some of the components into each other, and I had a gorgeous piece of decor in minutes.

While Brightech is a DTC brand, you can also shop it on — you guessed it — Amazon. Or if your loyalty lies with Nordstrom, you can buy this lighting brand there, too. Prefer to go straight to the source? You’ll want to head on over to Brightech’s website directly. Trust me: Once you do, you’re going to want everything. From table lamps to outdoor string lights, they’ve got all your elevated lighting options covered without breaking the bank (and delivered straight to your door!).

I truly didn’t feel like there was a go-to spot these days for design-friendly lighting for a fraction of the cost, but thanks to Brightech, I know exactly where I’m beelining it to when I need a new light in my space.

Buy: Brightech Olivia Floor Lamp, $175 (normally $250)
