After the recent birth of their second child, Grace & Frankie star Brooklyn Decker and Tennis Hall of Famer husband Andy Roddick decided to sell their vacation home in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. And it's cabin fever in the best possible way.
The couple bought the lakefront lot on Silver Springs Lake back in 2013 and custom-built the comfy classic-yet-modern cabin estate of their dreams, but recently sold the property (at a profit, according to their rep) after their daughter Stevie was born. Decker and Roddick's primary home is in Austin, Texas.
Classically clad in cedar shingles and stone on the exterior, the lakefront estate features surprisingly cozy yet modern interiors — reclaimed wood and timber accents paired with gleaming white subway tiles and white shiplap, vintage Pendleton wool camp blankets adorning the guest beds suspended from the ceiling. And oh the oversized fireplaces, plural.
The four-bedroom mountain retreat in Cashiers, North Carolina (about 165 miles from Charlotte, according to WWD) was originally listed for $2.99 million, but recently sold for $2.35 million after about a year and a half on the market.
People has a complete video tour of the three-acre property, sited within a golfing community, provided by real estate agent Liz Harris of McKee Properties. Including the piece de resistance: the screened-in, fireplaced "Carolina Porch" overlooking the glistening waters of Silver Spring Lake and the surrounding ranges of both the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains.
According to Architectural Digest, the couple will be staying in the area for many more vacations to come: they have a larger home nearby that they built for their ever-expanding brood right after their first child, son Hank, was born in 2015. Model turned actress and entrepreneur Decker grew up in North Carolina, and no doubt wants to continue to share its natural beauty with her kids, too.
