This Limited-Edition Care Bears Monopoly Will Take You Back to Your Childhood

Monopoly just got a lot cuter: The Op released a limited-edition Care Bears version of Hasbro’s famed property trading board game. It’s all rainbows and sunshine as players buy, sell, and trade the Care Bears and their cousins in Monopoly: Care Bears edition. Cheer Bear, Wish Bear, Funshine Bear, and Grumpy Bear are just some of the beloved Care Bears featured in the game, which currently retails at $39.99.

New tokens to traverse through the magical land of Care-a-Lot include a Hot Air Balloon, Cloud Car, and Rainbow Roller. Chance Cards are renamed Caring Cards, Community Chest Cards are renamed Sharing Cards, the Houses are renamed Hearts, and the Hotels are renamed Cloud Castles. All of the bills of the signature Monopoly Money are decked out in delightful Care Bears animations, such as stars, a moon, and a rainbow. 

In one Sharing card that features Cheer Bear, it reads: “Approach each day with a smile and a good word. Things are getting better all the time! Advance to Cheer Bear.”

With Monopoly: Care Bears edition, “Every day is special when you let the fun shine in.” The limited-edition offering is just the dose of nostalgia that Monopoly enthusiasts need during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and quarantine. 

It’s clear that Hasbro understands the power of board games during quarantine, too. So far, the game retailer has released a “The Goonies” Monopoly, and a Bob Ross Monopoly.  Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be traversing through the wondrous land of Care-a-Lot in a Cloud Car as we continue to cope with a difficult year.
