Countdown to Christmas With Google’s Santa Tracker and Virtual Village
With just one week to go until the big day, Santa and his elves are well on their way with their last-minute Christmas preparations. But if you’re more than eager for Dec. 25, you can once again countdown to Christmas with Google’s Santa tracker and virtual village.
Santa’s village is open all through December with a variety of fun features for kids, allowing their imaginations to run wild. Featuring whimsical graphics and holiday-themed music, Google’s Santa’s Village has a wide range of fun activities to explore. Combining festive fun and interactive learning, kids can prepare Santa for a selfie, build a snowman, play coding games, watch animated videos, learn about holiday traditions from around the world, and explore the globe with a maps quiz and so much more!
On Dec 21., Google’s Santa’s Village will transform into a magical Santa Tracker experience, where the entire family can follow Santa and his reindeer as they deliver presents to kids around the world.
For those with a Google assistant-enabled device such as a Google Home, Google Nest Hub, or a Google Pixel mobile, there are even more fun and festive features that are sure to spread the holiday cheer.
On your Assistant-enabled device, simply say “Hey Google, Call Santa,” and you’ll be connected to one of the elves in his workshop. From here, you can work with Santa to create a fun jingle that will be the star of the show at any holiday party.
If you’re in the mood for a giggle, ask, “Hey Google, give me a Santa joke” to hear a rib-tickling joke or two from Father Christmas himself. You can also get more holiday jokes from the Assistant by saying “Hey Google, give me a holiday joke.”
You can also ask the Google Assistant to help you keep tabs on Santa’s whereabouts. Just ask your device “Hey Google, track Santa” or “Hey Google, where is Santa right now?” for up-to-date information.
Finally, each day between now and Christmas Day, you can ask your Assistant-enabled device for Dimplesticks, the Elf reported at Google’s Santa’s Village, who will give you the 411 on all the happenings at the North Pole.
Happy holidays!
