This Cinderella-Themed Rental with a Ball Gown Canopy and Pumpkin Carriage Bathroom Is a Fairy Tale
This month marks 70 years since princess Roxbury at Stratton Falls lodging in the Catskills, this listing deemed “Cinderella’s Gown” has just that—a 18-foot ball gown that serves as a bed canopy—and so much more. The listing can fit up to six people and is designed to make guests feel like they’ve entered a 17th century European cottage, decorated in Cinderella-themed decor that brings you right into the Disney classic.
There are two queen bedrooms that each come with a private bathroom. While one bedroom has the gown bed canopy, the other has a bathroom shaped like a massive pumpkin that appears to be transforming into a carriage. Vines stretch across the bedroom ceiling and make their way into the bathroom, where of course everything in sight is orange.
The attention to detail is incredible. Look closely and you’ll see bird figurines holding up the ribbons of the gown bed canopy, and little golden mice hooks are on the walls. A lamp with a pumpkin carriage base sits on a nightstand, and the pumpkin bathroom’s faucets are shaped like golden geese.
In addition to the whimsical bedrooms and bathrooms, there’s a cozy common area complete with a fireplace, sleeper sofa, and a more modern version of a grandfather clock. There’s also a downstairs porch where guests can sit around the outdoor dining table and take in the surrounding forest and mountain views of the Catskills.
The rate range is from $600 to $775 a night, and you can check out all additional details on the listing here. And don’t worry, checkout isn’t at midnight!
