Spooky season is here and, sure, carving pumpkins and baking apple pies are quintessential events during this nostalgic time, but that doesn’t mean you have to stick with the same old activities. One creator recently dropped a hack that goes against the grain. In the video — racking up nearly 46K views — the recipe developer displayed a super-simple trick for turning canned cinnamon rolls into a festive delight.

The hack involves creating ghost-shaped cinnamon rolls. The nice part? There’s no rolling or much assembling required.

To create these cinna-ghosts, you unravel the dough and elongate it to mimic the spooky figure’s legs and head. Then, you bake the pastries according to their package directions and decorate them with icing and candy eyes — which you can find for $8 online.

If you want to get extra creative, you can buy food coloring and tint the icing. That way, you can decorate these ghosts with hues of orange, black, or purple. You can also step outside the box with the types of cinnamon rolls you get. For example, Trader Joe’s sells a pumpkin-flavored one that would shine in this hack.

Social media users couldn’t get enough of this spooky trick, sharing how “cute” this hack is. One person commented, “Stop it we need to make these ASAP,” while another follower mentioned, “I experimented with adding gummy teeth and they looked feral.”

So, if you’ve been stuck in a rut, scouring Pinterest or Instagram for fun recipes to try out during spooky season, you should test this one. If you find that this hack really has a spell on you, it doesn’t have to end with ghosts. Try rearranging your cinnamon rolls into other fun shapes like jack-o’-lanterns or witches’ hats.
