I Used a Command Wall Planter as Bathroom Storage — Now I Want One in Every Room

Storage in my small bathroom is a puzzle I’ve been struggling to solve. The vanity is tiny and it’s practically touching the toilet (so there’s no room on either side for one of those standing over-the-toilet shelf units), and wall-mounted shelves seem like more effort and hardware than they’re worth in a rental apartment. The “solution” until now has been keeping a giant basket on top of my toilet tank, which I’m constantly rifling through to find what I need each morning. While I used to go digging through a giant basket to find small items like my hairbrush or period products, the wall planters are the ideal front-and-center storage solution. The bowl shape holds more than you’d expect, too. I can fit my hairbrush, clips, and leave-in conditioner in one, and a whole box’s worth of tampons in the other. I could see them being used to store other things too, like beauty products, makeup brushes, flossers, cotton rounds, and personal care products. 

Plus, the wall planters’ modern design makes the most practical, non-aesthetically-pleasing items I put inside (like tampons) look elevated and stylish, which is exactly what I want from open storage.
