There still may be ice and snow on the ground where you are, but according to Costco, spring is officially in the air! The next time you hit your local Costco warehouse, keep your eyes peeled for the new spring blooms in the plant section. Costco just rolled out its tulip bulbs, which come planted in chic hurricane glasses.

Priced at just under $17, the tulip bulbs from Bloommaker are super easy to care for and because the tulips bloom right from the bulbs, they’ll last longer than cut flowers  — up to two weeks, as one Redditor wrote in a post from last spring. Due to the way they’re grown, they’re actually considered hydroponic, which is why they last longer than cut tulips. Each vase contains about five or six bulbs that will sprout at least one bloom. Per the instructions, keep the vase in indirect sunlight and only water enough to keep the bulbs moist.

When the blooms do eventually die off, don’t toss the bulbs! Just cut the wilted stems off and leave the bulbs to dry out in a cool, dark place. You can then plant the bulbs in the ground next fall to give yourself gorgeous tulips the following spring!

“I usually just leave the whole thing on my back porch until it dries out and you can plant the bulbs and they will grow again next year,” another Redditor added on the same thread.

It should be noted that tulips are toxic for both pets and people to ingest, so keep your bulbs in a spot where they won’t be accessible to cats, dogs, or babies.

Grab a vase of these tulip bulbs during your next Costco trip and bring a bit of warm spring sunshine into your home — it’s definitely worth the price for some color as you wait for the season to turn.
