Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: Our home is a one-room log cabin plus a small room for my son’s nursery. The cabin was built by hand 30 years ago and is complete with a beautiful wood stove, iron spiral staircase, and cozy loft.

Its style is inspired by the Western mountain vibes of where we live (Jackson Hole, Wyoming). I work as a home decor blogger and share our space on social media. I find that people are inspired by cabin decor and connect to the simplicity of living in a cabin!

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Cozy, Western, mountain, rustic.

What is your favorite room and why? Our cabin is mostly only one room—but my favorite space is the living area. It’s where we spend the most time together as a family. During the long winters it’s incredibly cozy to sit by the wood stove with some hot cocoa!

Any advice for creating a home you love? Think about function before you shop for new home items: Visualize how you will use an item or furniture. Once you can define your needs for your space then you can find items that will be beautiful and functional. We have a lot of experience with this living in a small space that needs to be practical and inspiring.
