I very happily stumbled upon a neighborhood yard sale a few weekends ago and picked up an adorable pair of glass mid-century bookends for just $10. Of course, I came home and started searching for a similar set online (because who doesn’t love to see just how much money they saved after scoring a deal like this one?). After doing a bit of browsing, I quickly realized that while many stylish pairs of bookends exist, they can be pretty pricey.

While scanning some of my favorite sites for more affordable options—because if you have tons of built-in shelving like me, you’ll know that multiple sets of bookends are a must—I discovered that Amazon has some gorgeous sets that come in at under $30. Take a look at some of my favorites below, and get styling!

I love decorating with anything agate. If you spotted these bookends in someone’s home, you’d totally think they snagged them while traveling somewhere exotic and not on everyone’s go-to website, right? While the teal shade is my favorite, this pair also comes in brown and blue, so you can pick what works best with your decor.

This unicorn set is perfect for a kid’s room or whimsical adult space. This duo has gotten rave reviews and keeps things fun and functional (see what we did there?).

Pineapple decor is still having a major moment, and this gold set of bookends is too cute. Play up the fruit theme and keep them in the kitchen to prop up cookbooks, or use the gold to make your favorite novels really shine.

Need a hand? This funky set (which reminds us of a Jonathan Adler creation) is bound to spark conversation and would look extra stylish propping up a set of black and white spines.

These hand carved wooden bookends are made from mango wood and would fit right in within a rustic space or boho abode. They’d look great in a nursery too, and totally don’t look like they came from Amazon.

We heart (sorry, had to!) these traditional metal bookends with a twist. Place them on a dorm room desk or in your office cubicle to add a sweet yet subtle touch to your work space. They also come in a cactus shape if you prefer a plant theme.
