Groovy “Disco Curtains” Are Quickly Becoming Popular and I’m Loving It
Disco never dies — it just takes different shapes and forms from one decade to the next. And now just about five years into the 2020s, people are shifting from the popular disco ball decor to a new format that’s just as shimmery. One Instagrammer just installed floor-to-ceiling disco curtains in her space, and they’re loud, they’re shiny, and they’re definitely groovy.
“Welcome to the era of unapologetic curtains,” Liša Steiper from @donanddandy on Instagram wrote in a recent video, adding in the caption, “Serving disco vibes straight from the 70ies.”
“Disco Curtains” Are Officially the New Disco Ball Decor
The curtains Steiper installed resemble liquid silver and almost give off a mirrored effect, like a classic disco ball. They’re great for reflecting sunlight (or colored LEDs!), and they definitely add an unexpected touch of glamour where you’d least expect it: in a doorway.
“I’ve been considering for several years whether I should buy such silver curtains,” one person commented on the post. “Your video shows me I must have them.”
If you want to bring disco curtains into your space, the secret is shopping for photo backdrops versus actual curtains. These backdrop panels come in various sizes (most of which are super long so that you can hang them from the ceiling) and a bunch of metallic colors. This silver curtain features super small sequins that give it a reflective mirrorlike shine.
Standard sequins can be just as much fun. This backdrop curtain comes in silver, hot pink, gold, red, and more exciting colors and will sparkle all day and night.
Disco will live on forever! And it will be tough not to get down and boogie after installing disco curtains in your home. They’re just so flashy, so groovy, and are guaranteed to make your days and nights good ones. It’s hard to stay in a bad mood when you have floor-to-ceiling silver shimmer hanging from your walls!
