Unless I’m on vacation, I don’t get to the beach very often. With all of the concrete constantly surrounding me, it’s easy to forget that, even in New York, there are a decent amount of them close by. This summer, I’m rectifying that and planning to visit Rockaway Beach and Coney Island at least once. I’ve already started gearing up for the next couple of months by crafting a shopping list of all of my beach essentials.

Brooklinen’s editor-approved towel is on there. So is a waterproof speaker. I already checked an outdoor blanket off of the list. Now I’ve found yet another item that I have to snag immediately: Five Below’s cute beach tent. I don’t go to the beach often enough to justify a pricey canopy, so this budget-friendly option is the perfect solution. Plus, I burned horribly at the beach last time I went, so $15 is a small price to pay for added protection from the sun. In fact, it folds up so small that I could likely bring it in my luggage when I travel to Greece this summer. Read on to find out more about this gem!

What Is the Fringe Beach Tent?

Whether you live right next to the ocean and go often or only visit occasionally, this $15 find should go straight into your cart. First of all, it’ll make your beach day that much cuter with the mint green fabric and fringe along the sides. Beyond its boho look, this tent will make your beach experience tremendously more comfortable, too. It’s simple to set up with six pegs, and despite folding down into a small storage bag, it ends up expanding to a little over 6 feet wide, almost 5 feet deep, and 7 feet tall. You and a couple of others will easily have enough space to lounge and escape the sun.

Don’t underestimate the impact that a tent will have on your time at the beach. Trust me, you don’t want to make the trek out there just to leave too soon because the sun is intense. This affordable solution will keep that from ever happening again, while looking super stylish in your photos, too. I suggest clicking the buy button before summer officially kicks off (and before Five Below shoppers catch on to how great this new item is).
