Rather than paintings and photographs clustered together on a single wall, Union opted to play with light fixtures instead. And the result is a super modern statement that looks like an art installation — and the entire thing is actually really easy to recreate.

Upgrading your gallery wall to a light show (or combining the two ideas together) is as easy as tracking down a handful of LED lights that fit your aesthetic. These lights from Amazon are nearly identical to the ones on Union’s wall. 

They’re sleek black rectangular sconces that emit light from the top and bottom. The only downside is that these lights need to be hardwired to your wall, which can make this DIY pretty pricey when you add in an electrician.

The Koopala LED lights on Amazon, however, are battery operated and can be stuck anywhere and everywhere. They can swivel, which means you can switch up the look of your light wall by simply adjusting which way the lights are pointed.

Or, you can get really crafty with a set of standard tap lights, like this set of five from Amazon. You can create custom light fixtures with these by making your own shades from cardboard, wood, or fabric over wire. Though this option is a bit more time consuming, the result would be totally unique and tailored to fit your decor perfectly.
