Like so many, Gwyneth Paltrow has been spending more time in the kitchen during the pandemic. She’s utilizing it as a second office, which is great for the rest of the world because she’s shared multiple photos of the dramatic black and white space, including her hexagon tiled floors.

The Goop founder’s entire kitchen carries the black and white palette, but there’s no denying that it’s the hex floors making a major statement. The black tiles finished off with bright white grout offers a high-contrast foundation for the rest of the space — and an unconventional floor does have a way of catching attention.

When the tiles make an appearance in one of Paltrow’s photos, it’s easy for your attention to naturally gravitate toward the patterned flooring. All the design elements around the floors seems to complement it, too — from the bright white cabinetry with matte black pulls and hardware, to the white planks placed over iron frames to make for extra shelving.

She took another walk on the dark side with her kitchen island, opting for lighter wood chopping block counters (another kitchen look that’s quite popular these days.) Also in the kitchen is a round, white marble table, which doubles as Paltrow’s desk.
