HGTV fans just can’t get enough of Ty Pennington, from his recent show “Ty Breaker” to his role as the host of “Rock the Block.” But he’s not stopping there. This summer, Pennington is starring in a new HGTV show called “Battle on the Beach,” in which network stars and up-and-coming home flippers compete to win $50,000.

Pennington, along with Taniya Nayak from “Restaurant Impossible” and Alison Victoria from “Windy City Rehab,” will mentor teams of flippers who are renovating beachfront properties. This show sounds like it’s going to be as addictive as “Rock the Block,” as viewers get to see a whole home transition rather than a single room or space. Plus, the pandemic and spring weather has us lusting over these beachy homes and their potential.

Over six hour-long episodes, viewers will see the mentors try to add the most value to the homes to help win the grand prize. Also Mike Holmes — who was a competitor in “Rock the Block” — will be in a judging role this time (where he deserves to be after fans fell in love with his no-nonsense approach to renovations in HGTV’s “Holmes and Holmes“).

“The stakes are sky high with a beachfront renovation, and this competition will push some of HGTV’s most seasoned experts to the limit,” said Jane Latman, president, HGTV, in a press release. “The competitors will get the unique opportunity to have our star mentors guide them through the challenges of a large-scale renovation while they fight to win some big cash.”

Pennington will be in his natural environment, working with the types of homes he loves the most. After all, fans loved every detail of his Florida fishing cabin, which Pennington renovated into a larger waterfront property. Summer, when the show is slated to premiere, can’t come soon enough!
