Good lighting is key, especially in the darker winter months. The “Bargain Mansions” host recently shared a snap with her 85,000 Instagram followers that showed off her gorgeous farmhouse-style kitchen.
“I know it’s going to be a good day when I realize my oven mitt goes with my sweatshirt 😂” the presenter joked in the caption, pointing out that her bright blue oven mitt matches with her cozy red sweater.
While the bold oven mitt is certainly a talking point, my eyes were immediately drawn to the light fixtures hanging above the the island. Making a statement and adding a different vibe to the otherwise rustic-looking kitchen, the pendant chandeliers instantly draw the eye to the center of the room, and the gold detailing brings in a touch of luxury.
Placed above the wooden kitchen island, the light fixtures help other details of the room pop, including the panelled cabinets that add depth and texture to the space. While Day has opted for a pretty neutral color palette throughout the kitchen, she has also incorporated hints of other hues to add character to the space. The marble countertops are contrasted by the sleek black units underneath while the eye-catching roller blind has a painted blue pattern that adds heaps of charm to the window.
Day’s followers were quick to head to the comments to compliment the kitchen, including the over-island light fixtures:
“Those light fixtures are gorgeous” wrote one person.
“Would you mind sharing where you purchased the lights over the island?” commented another.
While it is unclear where Day purchased the lights, check out Wayfair’s range of pendant lighting that features plenty of similar styles.
