If you’re following along with the Holiday Cure, you already have half of today’s assignment complete. That’s the good news. The bad news is: There’s no bad news! It’s all good news.

I’m always surprised by how great it feels to get hands-on with a craft. In August, as part of a virtual work retreat with the editors of Apartment Therapy, I dedicated an afternoon when I’d normally be tapping away at my laptop to clearing the dining room table for a craft session instead. We all hand-painted terracotta pots together, separately. It was a nice excuse to get away from our screens for a few hours, and I found it really refreshing to create something with a paintbrush instead of with a keyboard. Plus I got a great little DIY planter out of the mix!

So when I say there’s no bad news, I mean it. The good news is: you have half of today’s assignment already done. And the other good news is that you get to spend some time today getting creative.

Let’s jump in…

Day 15: Make homemade gifts.

You did the leg work on the first part of this task earlier this week by gathering or ordering the supplies you need. Today is the day to buckle down and get crafty!

You know what needs to happen, so follow through and get it done! I promise it’ll be fun, and as a bonus, you get to check a couple of giftees off your shopping list.
